Kuilei Cliffs Restoration Day

Kuilei Cliffs is a grassroots, community-led initiative dedicated to restoring and revitalizing Kuilei Cliffs Beack Park - located along the beautiful coastline of Diamond Head. Once an overgrown, neglected space, the area is now being transformed through consisten volunteer-driven restoration efforts. The goal is to malama the aina (care for the land), reduce wilfire risk, reintroduce native plants, and create a safe, beautiful, and educational environment for both the local community and tourists.

Saturday Restoration Day is the heart of Kuilei Cliffs' work. Every Saturday from 8am to 11am, volunteers of all ages gather to:
- Review invasive species and brush to reduce fire hazards
- Replant native trees and plants
- Pick up litter and maintain trails and public areas
- Create safe, open spaces with scenic views of the Diamond Head lighthouse
- Host visiting groups, tourists, and families to learn more about environmental stewardship and Hawaiian ecology
- Build community through hand-on work, shared meals, and conversation
- Lunch is provided for all volunteers

These Saturdays have become a gathering point for environmental action, cultural exchanges, and connection. It's a living example of what can happen when people come together to care for Hawai'i.
