Urban Makahiki

Urban Makahiki aims to foster a reawakening sense of place by reconnecting people to place and restoring a healthy relationship between ʻāina and people. Presented by American Savings Bank, Hawaiʻi Tourism Authority, and CNHA Kilohana - Waiwai Collective, Trust for Public Land, and many other partners are hosting Urban Makahiki to provide both locals and visitors an authentic opportunity to connect with ʻAʻala Park and its surrounding area while learning about Native Hawaiian and local culture.
