The Kohala Coast Resort Association is a destination association that includes four, self contained, master-planned resorts - Hualalai Development, Mauna Kea Resort, Mauna Lani Resort, Waikoloa Beach Resort - eight luxury resort hotels and seven award-winning golf courses. The resorts and hotels are located along a 20-mile stretch of coastline on the leeward coast of the Island of Hawaii. The Association's objectives are to achieve name recognition for the Kohala Coast as a major resort destination on the Island of Hawaii and to maintain a standard of quality development for the Kohala Coast. The association works as a liaison between members and government on specific improvements to the region. The Kohala Coast Resort Association, is a private, non-profit corporation, formed January 4, 1984.
