Monitoring Tropical Storm Nolo

The National Weather Service forecasts Tropical Storm Nolo to strengthen and become a hurricane by Saturday as it passes north northeastward. Heavy rainfall, flash flooding, and hurricane-force winds remain concerns for Hawaiʻi Island Friday night through Saturday.
A Tropical Storm Warning has been issued for Hawai‘i Island and a Tropical Storm Watch for Maui County through Saturday. This means that tropical storm conditions are expected within the next 36 hours. A Flood Watch has been issued for Hawai‘i Island and Maui County through 6 p.m. Saturday.
