Stand-Up Paddleboarding

Similar to surfing (but using a longer, wider board), stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) has become an increasingly popular activity over the past several years. On the island of Kauaʻi, you'll frequently find paddlers on the shimmering blue waters of Hanalei Bay, Poʻipū Beach or Kalapakī Beach. If you didn't have room in your luggage to bring your own board and paddle, you'll find rental places on the islands who can help with gear, and (often-times) lessons as well, if you're new to the sport but want to give it a try during your trip.
